Diabetes Awareness & Community Information Sessions

We are proud to partner with NHS GGC to deliver diabetes information sessions designed to support our community through education, awareness, and early prevention.

Diabetes affects many people, but research shows that people of Asian background are at a higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes. It is also important to acknowledge that Roma communities are of south Asian descent, and as a result, Roma people may also face an increased risk. Our session provided culturally sensitive information to help individuals and families understand diabetes and take steps toward better health.

Sexual Health & Family Planning Partnership

We work in partnership with Sandyford to provide sexual health information sessions for the Roma community. These sessions cover family planning, sexual health, how to book appointments, and understanding healthcare rights. Our approach is culturally sensitive and aims to empower individuals and families with the knowledge and confidence to access the services they are entitled to.
