A warm welcome, a listening ear, a place to be

Our Vision

The vision of The Louise Project is a world without poverty and where all people are enabled to flourish and live full lives.

Our Mission

Our mission is to enable people to transform their own lives, access appropriate services and actively participate in the social transformation of their community. We also aim to intervene and challenge systemic structures to take people out of poverty.

Our Values

Our Christian values are the heart of the project and the foundation that underpins everything.
Everyone is welcome at the project and regardless of faith, or no faith, we will endeavour to do our very best to support them.

We acknowledge the uniqueness and value of all people and we are aspirational for those we support. We recognise that regardless of ability every individual has gifts to offer. We work in an accepting and compassionate way, respecting each person’s dignity and we support families to build relationships based on truth, honesty and accountability

Health Partnerships

Diabetes Awareness & Community Information Sessions

We are proud to partner with NHS GGC to deliver diabetes information sessions designed to support our community through education, awareness, and early prevention.

Diabetes affects many people, but research shows that people of Asian background are at a higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes. It is also important to acknowledge that Roma communities are of south Asian descent, and as a result, Roma people may also face an increased risk. Our session provided culturally sensitive information to help individuals and families understand diabetes and take steps toward better health.

Sexual Health & Family Planning Partnership

We work in partnership with Sandyford to provide sexual health information sessions for the Roma community. These sessions cover family planning, sexual health, how to book appointments, and understanding healthcare rights. Our approach is culturally sensitive and aims to empower individuals and families with the knowledge and confidence to access the services they are entitled to.
